A Word from our Founders
In October 2001, our then two year-old son was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the most common form of pediatric cancer. Today, thanks to advances in leukemia research and treatment, Gianluca is a happy and healthy young man enjoying life to the fullest.
We officially founded The Vita Children’s Foundation in the fall of 2003, two years after receiving this devastating news and after witnessing what these children must endure for a chance at life. Inspired by their courage and resilience, we felt compelled to do our part to support them in their fight against this terrible disease.
